Oakland Undercurrent Swim Team

Oakland Community Pools Project (OCPP) is a non-profit swim organization dedicated to the success of Oakland youth. As a community based not-for-profit 501 (c) 3, OCPP provides aquatic programs to the youth of Oakland. The life-skills taught in the water gives the opportunity to realize their potential in and out of the water.

The Oakland Undercurrent Swimming programs are operated and funded by OCPP and its supporters. The Undercurrent programs have attracted Olympic, National, NCAA, Asian Games, and State High School Champions from all over the world. In fact, Undercurrent students, teachers, and alumni draw from every city council district in Oakland, 5 other Bay Area cities, 6 states nationwide, and over a dozen different nations. The undercurrent is truly a diverse team.

We are fortunate to be staffed with some of the finest swimmers and swim instructors from Oakland and around the world. The Undercurrents professional coaching staff, with the support of Undercurrent families, provides the tools for success in a program designed for athletes of all abilities. We have developed dozens of Oakland city champions and record breakers with our Undercurrent champion style.

We are happy to announce that Oakland Undercurrent Swim School will resume it's Fall programs on September 14th.  Registration can be done at Laney Pool beginnig August 31st or On-Line. 

Help spread the word - fliers (in English & Spanish) and registration forms are available.  We look forward to seeing everyone at the pool!
